Pair of vintage French Anduze garden urns

Pair of large vintage terracotta Anduze garden urns, used for citrus planting, dating to around 1940, feature the classic baluster shape typical of Provençal pottery. Adorned with a draped medallion cartouche bearing the Boisset atelier signature, a mark of craftsmanship from one of Anduze’s historic potteries. Remnants of the original ochre, green, and black glaze have developed a beautifully aged patina, enhancing their timeworn charm. Horizontal reeding adds texture, while the flared rims and pedestal bases give them a stately presence. Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
