American painted blanket chest

Add a vibrant touch of folk tradition to your space with this charming antique hand-painted blanket chest. Crafted from pine, this early 19th-century piece features a delightfully primitive floral design in rich greens, reds, and yellows. The stylized tulips and foliage, rendered with naïve charm, reflect classic Pennsylvania Dutch or Scandinavian folk art influences. The original painted surface has aged beautifully, hardware is original and early circa 1800.
