POA

A refined pair of English Queen Anne period side chairs, circa 1740, crafted in rich walnut with original patina and graceful lines. Each chair features a well-proportioned yoke-shaped crest rail above a solid vase-shaped splat, hallmark elements of the Queen Anne style. The slip seats are upholstered in worn but handsome brown leather. Raised on elegant cabriole legs terminating in pad feet at the front and simple rear stiles, these chairs reflect the early 18th-century transition from baroque heaviness to more curvilinear, fluid forms. The rear legs retain their original turned stretchers, further underscoring the period authenticity.

Perfect as accent chairs, hall pieces, or as part of a curated antique dining set, these chairs exemplify early Georgian refinement with a stately yet inviting presence. Excellent antique condition with minor wear and fading to finish and leather consistent with age
